Many Christians love to talk about how God can turn bad things into blessings in our life.
This is very true; He can & He does.
There are others who like to talk about how, the Word of God tells us to stop focusing on the things that are seen, & begin focusing on the things that are not seen.
This also is presented to us in the God’s Word as a fundamental aspect of walking by faith, & we know that without faith it’s impossible to please God.
So both views are legitimate truths given to us in God’s Word.
God does turn bad things around to our advantage, & we are instructed to focus on things above rather than things on earth.
However, something we seldom hear anyone talk about is how these 2 things coupled together can cause a far more eternal & exceeding weight of glory to settle down mightily upon our life.
In 2Corinthians 4 the Apostle Paul says… All these adverse things that you are going through in your life, can work FOR you rather than AGAINST you, IF… you will stop focusing on them, & instead learn to focus on the things that are INVISIBLE.
In verses 8-10 he speaks of the hard things that he was going through.
He says…
“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body”.
He then refers to these trials they are going through as “light afflictions”.
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (verse 17).
He then gives us the KEY to walking in a mighty manifestation of God’s glory upon our life, while we are going through the worst of natural circumstances.
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (verse 18).
There’s your KEY!!!
Paul is telling us something that he learned, that if we are wise we will pay attention.
He says that the way to cause the difficulties in our life to not only work FOR us, but to actually produce for us a “…FAR MORE EXCEEDING and ETERNAL WEIGHT of GLORY…” is for us to not LOOK at the difficulties which are SEEN, but rather to begin FOCUSING on the UNSEEN GREATNESS of GOD & His ETERNAL KINGDOM!!
Paul is trying to help us to understand & grasp that we are actually IN God’s kingdom RIGHT NOW!
We just don’t realize we are because we are so fleshly minded.
Paul says… If you will start living like you are there, the supernatural glory of that invisible Heavenly realm will rest so mightily upon your life that the difficulties on earth will become seemingly nonexistent, or at least… completely irrelevant to how we view our life.
Learn to walk by faith…
Walk in the spirit…
Walk in the reality, of the glory of God’s Kingdom, being in you & all around you.
Jesus is The Door & your faith is the Key.
Why walk on earth when you can enter through Jesus by faith & walk in God’s Glory…?
Jesus says…
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (Jn.10:9).
Who wants to “go in and out”?
Who wants to check out God’s supernatural “pasture” in the spirit?
It’s a place of Great Glory!!
We can walk there while we’re here.
